The Enlightenment of Elderhood

We stroll down the pathway of life,
We encounter the sacred and the profane.
It’s neither black nor white,
But different shades of gray.

Cherish the sacred, learn from the profane,
Your storybook consists of the synthesis of it all.
As we grow old, it melds into wisdom,
That is the enlightenment of elderhood.

  1. ‘I AM THE ONE’

I AM THE ONE WHOSE PRAISES ECHO IN THE HEAVENS
I AM THE ONE WHO REFRESHES THE EARTH
I AM THE ONE WHO IS LED BY THE SPIRIT TO FEED THE PRISTINE WATERS
I AM THE ONE WHOSE BREEZES NURTURES EVERYTHING GREEN
I AM THE ONE WHO ENCOURAGES THE BLOSSOMS TO BECOME FRUIT
I AM THE RAIN THAT COMES FROM THE HEAVENS THAT CAUSES THE GRASSES TO LAUGH AND SMILE WITH THE JOY OF LIFE.
I AM THE YEARNING FOR THE GOOD.
WE ARE THE ONE AS WE LEAVE OUR DISTRACTIONS AS WE GROW OLD.
