A square with benches, approaching a subway entrance on the Upper West Side. Seemed like the whole world was there, on display. Many languages and dialects spoken, all ages and diverse ethnicities though no one was interrelating.
An elder man was playing Somewhere Over The Rainbow sublimely on his saxophone for all to hear. I heard the faint whisper of Judy Garland. The city was alive if one could penetrate the stifling surface to feel its heartbeat. Failing this, one may turn into a misanthrope, or merely be part of the walking dead.
Remnants of newspapers scattered all around. They were blowing in the wind though no answers were to be found. It was life and life only, at least in this place and time. I was happy though to be alive!
Brilliantly captured Jeff, with clarity far beyond the surface focus.
All the best my friend.

Thanks Lee!
With all of it’s extremes, New York is one of my Favorite places in the world. There is a little bit of Everything there, if one knows where to look… Central Park is probably my Top Spot of choice, in ‘The City’. Thanks for refreshing all of my special memories, and enjoying it for me.
